香港应用科技研究院於本项目中把合成活性材料的优胜技术应用於开发比容量大於180 mAh/g 的Li-Mn-Ni-O 类型的新型富锂正极材料。项目中所提出的正极材料含有较少量的昂贵元素,因此材料价格在市场上具有竞争力。为了利於正极的设计,正极材料的工业化製备方法将会进行优化。此後,ASTRI的富锂正极和高容量负极将组装成全电池并进行评估以展示能量密度达到620 mWh/cm3。
