1) Omnidirectional emission LED bulb It aims to replace 40W incandescent bulb (or equivalent to 9W CFL lamp replacement). A non-imaging optical technology will be used to develop an omni-reflective optics for re-constructing the narrowed beam emission pattern from LED into wide angle emission of the LED bulb in both forward and backward regions. This optics, combined with "to be developed" LED driving circuit design & commercial LED components will create a LED bulb to replace 40W incandescent light bulb (or 9W CFL equivalent) that fullfils light distribution requirement of US Energy Star; luminous flux output (485lm) requirement of Japan & exceeds lamp efficiency requirement (66lm/W) according to grade 1 label in CFL's "Mandatory Energy Efficient Labeling Scheme" in Hong Kong. Deliverable Specifications: a) Lumen Output: equal to or great than 485lm b) Lamp Efficiency: equal to or greater than 66lm/W c) Input Voltage: 100 / 120 / 220 VAC d) Light Intensity distribution: Fulfills US Energy Star Criteria on Integral Lamp 2) High lumen ouptut (> 800lm), high efficient (<10W) omnidirectional emission LED bulb It aims to replace 60W incandescent bulb (or equivalent to 13W CFL lamp replacement). Chip-on-board LED packaging technology, combined with omni-reflective optics and LED driving circuit, will be used to optimize the overall lamp efficiency. "Birdcage" technology (US7701055) will be also implemented in the bulb to enhance heat dissipation capability. The resultant bulb is therefore, to replace 60W incandescent lamp that fullfils requirements in US, Japan and Hong Kong. 20 prototypes will be provided to Housing Authority for energy efficiency test in Public Rental Estates. 此申请项目主旨是发展和使用LED全方位型球泡灯平台技术用以取代能源效益低的白炽灯泡和含铅毒的紧凑型萤光灯泡,遂使逹到节能和环保的果效。是次申请项目名为「智慧式全方位型球泡灯」,为期十一个月,内容主要是开发全方位出光的LED器件技术和高光效的大功率模条封装技术。 项目交付品包括可取代(1)40W白炽灯和(2) 60W白炽灯的LED全方位型球泡灯。 项目的技术难处有二; 1. 均匀地大角度出光,包括LED灯源出光的前方和後方; 2. 在不充足空间内的高热密度问题; 为解决以上问题,是次项目将开发 1. 光热合一的全反射器件 - 放置在泡壳之内。一方面用以凖确地控制出光光线分佈,而另一方面亦用作热辐射散热器件以减轻灯体所承载之热能量; 2. 高光效LED模条封装 - 用以优化反射器件的光效,并同时以电串并的方式提高电效率; 我们将和房署和房协合作,在公共房屋的週边设施和老人中心安放这项目的LED全方位型球泡灯用以测试能源效益和色温环境对长者的影响。 我们相信,这项平台技术能使市民大众享受到节能和环保所带来的生活质素的改善,以建立优质和谐的生活。
