LTE(長期演進技術)和LTE-Advanced(長期演進技術升級版)已被世界上大部分移動運營商選為它們下一步蜂窩網絡演進的方向。ITU-R(國際電信聯盟無線通信委員會)制定了一套移動通信4G技術規範,即IMT-Advanced(高級國際移動通信)技術規範。LTE-Advanced正式滿足了IMT-Advanced技術要求並且向後兼容LTE。而LTE-Advanced 3GPP Release 11的標準版本V11.8.0也在2014年3月發布。在這個項目中,我們會開發一個LTE-Advanced射頻收發器芯片來滿足LTE-Advanced 3GPP Release 10 和11的標準要求,支持數據速率高達300/100 Mbps (下行/上行)。該收發器芯片支持從450 MHz到3.8 GHz的廣闊頻段,因而覆蓋了世界上主要國家和地區,比如中國、香港,美國,歐洲,日本,澳洲及英國。我們會開發實現LTE-Advanced射頻收發器的關鍵技術,比如,載波聚合,高階多輸入多輸出,包絡跟蹤,和寬帶可重構射頻前端等等。我們計劃了兩次流片來開發矽驗證的IPs。作為這個項目的成果,我們會交付LTE-Advanced射頻收發器的芯片,參考設計,專利及IPs。這個項目將非常有助於香港在區域內建立並發揮技術領先的作用,幫助本地的IC設計公司,無線寬帶方案公司,OEM和ODM的製造商創造競爭優勢。
