Description:

This project aims to provide an intelligent and automated assistance to bank customers. It builds on the HKMA Open Banking API initiative with the goal to enable collaboration among banks and FinTech industries. The initiative encourages banks to publish their set of APIs (Application Programming Interface) for accessing customer bank accounts which are maintained in bank computer systems. This allows Fintech developers to provide innovative banking applications for customers. The project will develop a Smart Assistance Service platform for bank customers. The platform will service customers’ requests by accessing their bank accounts via the sets of Open Banking API of the banks. The platform will automate user’s banking and provide advisory assistance. Customers can use the Smart Assistant to get personal financial report and advice. The platform also generates privacy protected credit rating for the customer. Customer can also add third party Fintech services to the Smart Assistant for new operations. The platform will be a secure platform that supports user authentication, privacy protection, and data protection to ensure worry free operations.
