Description:
Due to development of network applications and services for consumers and business users, information and data carried by servers and storage systems are showing explosive growth. Although the bandwidth and processor speeds of a modern network system have been significantly improved, the performance of data access, and storage did not match the processor performance due to the inherent mechanical properties of traditional hard disk drives. As a result, the overall system performance is inadequate. With NAND FLASH based solid-state storage, the performance of data access and storage is significantly improved. Through the high speed PCIe interface, SSD can be deployed in the server and storage array control unit to provide a high performance data access cache. This project will develop a PCIe solid state storage accelerator card for enterprise data center and cloud storage, provide high-speed data access and storage performance for cloud applications, and facilitate development and application of cloud computing and cloud storage.
