Description:

Traditional 4G core network (EPC – Evolved Packet Core) are designed for conventional mobile broadband (MBB) services. In order to support diversified services (such as ultra-low latency, ultra reliable, massive Internet of things) in addition to enhanced mobile broadband, 5G core network architecture (5GC) will take a revolutionary step towards a new system architecture, called Service Based Architecture (5GSBA).
This project aims to build the architecture and functions in compliance with the 5G standard (3GPP Release 15) with mandatory functionalities to allow project team to establish inter-operability testing/lab testing/trial.
The project team is collaborating with a multi-national company and wireless network equipment vendors with solid industry contribution to the project to support & commercialize and licensed technologies.
