Description:
In the past five years, cyber and technology crime has increased 3-fold in Hong Kong. Online businesses and financial institutes are particularly susceptible to it with costly consequences. In collaboration with the financial industry and Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF), ASTRI will develop a research and practice platform of cyber security, for the purposes of investigating cyber crime of local flavor, research on resolutions and training of cyber security professionals. The advanced investigative platform for finance-related cyber crime and well-trained law enforcement personnel are necessary for Hong Kong to become a secure financial centre. It will also elevate Hong Kong to become a leader in the region to deal with finance-related cyber crime.
